The Department of Information Studies at East West University marked its inception in 2016 with the introduction of its Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honors) degree in Information Studies. This undergraduate program underscores the pivotal role of information and knowledge management across diverse sectors and organizations. Beyond its academic activities, the department emphasizes extracurricular engagements to foster student networking and cultivate practical skills. Notably, the department has hosted the International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (i-IKM) biennially, with its inaugural event in 2019, followed by subsequent conferences in 2021 and 2023.
